Gomez: Let's Show The World That Orlando is #FilledWithPride

The last two years in Central Florida has been a soccer lovers dream. The fever that has swept through Orlando and the surrounding areas have been an exciting ride for anyone who loves sports. Orlando City has shown the world of soccer that some of its most passionate fans reside right here in Central Florida.
In consecutive years Lions fans have set fan attendance records at the Citrus Bowl, showing how deep the love of the beautiful game goes. Now, Orlando has a new team.
Just last year the Orlando Pride were announced, with the signing of Alex Morgan, Kaylyn Kyle and Sarah Hagen, and now they will play their inaugural home on April 23rd. Once again there is a campaign to break another record.  However, this time it’s different.
With the new campaign, #FilledWithPride, fans can show the country and soccer world how Central Florida supports these tremendous women. Fans have a chance here to show how important this team and this city is to women’s soccer and soccer in general. Let’s show our daughters, nieces, and every young lady out there how we in Orlando support the women who play this beautiful game. 


UPDATE: June 10, 2020 - Major League Soccer announced it will restart the 2020 season with all 26 MLS clubs competing in the MLS is Back Tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida beginning July 8. Upon completion of the tournament, MLS plans to continue its regular season with a revised schedule in home markets. The revised schedule may see certain matches from the original 2020 MLS regular season schedule being cancelled or rescheduled. The final number of matches and the schedule for the remainder of the 2020 MLS regular season and related ticket policies will be announced in the coming weeks.
