Week 3 Power Rankings were released yesterday, March 22nd. Kansas City jumped three slots from last week to claim the number one spot, with an impressive nine points in three games. FC Dallas jumped three slots as well from 5th to take the number two spot. Portland, Montreal, and Toronto rounded out the top 5. Orlando City moved up two spots to 13th place after a hard fought victory in Yankee Stadium.

Tim Howard Officially Signs with Rapids
USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard will officially be making the jump to the MLS after signing with the Colorado Rapids. The Rapids had the first selection to sign the goalie due to their position in the Allocation Ranking order, which establishes which MLS clubs have the first rights to sign a player from a group of names which contains quite a few US national team stars playing overseas.

Controversy in Seattle
The Seattle Sounders are on a tough 3 game-losing streak. In a harsh 2-1 loss at home to the Vancouver Whitecaps, in large part due to the two penalty kicks, both Seattle players and coaches made it clear their objections of the penalty calls. “I don’t know if you want to hear what I have to say about Perez; I’ll probably get fined,” defender Zach Scott told reporters.
