Alex Morgan and Ashlyn Harris Announced as Orlando Pride’s U.S. Women’s National Team Allocated Players for 2016 Season

ORLANDO, Fla. – Jan. 13, 2016 – In conjunction with the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Orlando Pride today announced striker Alex Morgan and goalkeeper Ahslyn Harris as the team’s U.S. Women’s National Team Allocated Players from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) for their inaugural NWSL 2016 season.


In addition, the Portland Thorns FC and Orlando Pride completed the final piece of their Oct. 26, 2015 trade, in which the Thorns received the rights to a new U.S. Women’s National Team Allocated Player joining the NWSL in exchange for their first-round pick (No. 10 overall) in the 2016 College Draft to the Pride. As a result, Portland has received returning U.S. Women’s National Team player Lindsey Horan.


The official list of allocated players from the Canadian Soccer Association and Federation of Mexican Football will be released in the coming days.
