DraftKings Players To Watch: A Home Field Advantage

Collin DraftKings

Orlando City will take on the Montréal Impact this Saturday at the Orlando Citrus Bowl. Orlando City has won three straight while putting up some solid fantasy numbers as well. We have put together a list that should be considered for your DraftKings roster.

Haven’t tried DraftKings? It’s really easy. Each player is given a fictitious $50,000 to spend on assembling his or her roster. Players’ salaries are determined by their on-field performance, FPPG, or Fantasy Points Per Game. Each roster consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, a keeper, and one flex spot (any field player).

Here are a few players to watch for in this weekend’s matchup:

Aurélien Collin – DEF: 3.5 FPPG, $3,800 – Collin is in line to have a big game for Orlando City this weekend. With Didier Drogba coming to town, Collin will be tasked with shutting the striker down. The Frenchman has been an imposing presence in the box over the past few weeks and he will look to continue that on Saturday night. If his recent form is any indication, Collin is a must add for your roster this week.

Rafael Ramos – DEF: 1.8 FPPG, $4,000 – Ramos will play a key role for Orlando this weekend. A large part of Montréal’s attack is playing the ball out wide to the flanks and crossing the ball in the box for Drogba or Dominic Oduro. This may open some space for Ramos to get up the field on the right side and make a difference in the attacking third.

Cyle Larin – FWD: 10.4 FPPG $8,800 – Larin is one of the more expensive forwards on the Lions’ roster. He is certainly well worth it considering how productive he can be on the pitch. The rookie has scored 14 goals on the season so far, and doesn’t look like he is ready to slow down. At $8,800, I would certainly include him in my lineup.

Around the League:

Octavio Rivero – FWD: 7.9 FPPG $8,700 – The Vancouver Whitecaps forward is in need of a big game. With Vancouver fighting for the Supporters’ Shield, a victory at San Jose would be huge. If Rivero can score one or two goals, it would help immensely in a tough environment in San Jose.

Diego Fagundez – FWD: 10.5 FPPG, $7,200 – New England could have a big game this weekend against a struggling Chicago side. Fagundez should shine on Saturday for the Revolution with attacking options Lee Nguyen and Charlie Davies by his side.
