Sixteen OCYS Boys and Girls Teams Advance into Next Round of State Cup

ORLANDO – April 2, 2015 – Orlando City Youth Soccer’s (OCYS) teams continued its strong performances in the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) State Cup this past weekend.

After having 18 teams advance from opening weekend, only two OCYS teams failed to move on to the next round after this weekend’s fixtures – resulting in 16 Orlando City boys and girls teams moving on to the next round of play.

“This was an excellent weekend for our boys teams who represented the club well, especially the U15 Purple 2 and the U14 White teams who qualified through tough groups,” said Boys Academy Director Paul Shaw.

UPDATE: April 17, 2020 - Based on the most recent government guidance, Major League Soccer has extended the postponement of its matches until at least June 8. Major League Soccer remains focused on playing the entire 2020 season, and is evaluating all options, including pushing back the end of the season and playing MLS Cup in December or later.
