ORLANDO – February 2, 2015 – Just over a week ago, Orlando City Soccer Club celebrated a major milestone by recognizing 13-time Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Ken Griffey Jr. as the Club's 10,000th Central Florida resident to purchase season tickets. That celebration was brief as the front office staff returned to work and today, the Lions announced they have surpassed 11,000 season tickets for the inaugural 2015 Major League Soccer (MLS) campaign.
Thus far, Section 132 of the Orlando Citrus Bowl has completely sold out, while several sections including the Club and Midfield East are nearing sellout capacity.
Orlando City will host fellow MLS debutants New York City FC Sunday, March 8 at the Orlando Citrus Bowl. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. ET.
