Orlando City Announces 2012 Media Partnerships

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City Soccer Club announced today the expansion of their media partners and media coverage for the 2012 season.  Among the new partnerships are Clear Channel Communications and Onda Mexicana Radio.

“After a spectacular 2011 season we are pleased that we will have increased media coverage for our fans in the season ahead” said Orlando City President, Phil Rawlins.

In addition to the new partnerships, Orlando City has increased its relationship with several key media outlets in Central Florida.  The Orlando Sentinel, Orlando Weekly, WFTV Channel 9, and WOFL FOX 35 Orlando were acknowledged for their assistance in helping the team grow in the marketplace.  Both Univision and Telemundo were noted for their assistance in reaching Orlando’s growing and diverse Hispanic community.

Orlando City also announced two broadcast partnerships for the 2012 season.  The team will be continue to broadcast games on Bright House Sports Network, with a full schedule to be revealed at a later date.  

New to this season will be Spanish-language radio broadcasts, carried on Onda Mexicana Radio.  All Orlando City home matches will be broadcast on the Lions’ exclusive Mexican-focused radio station.
