Tincho está aquí a largo plazo.
The man who broke all the Club attacking records in 2025 is now locked in with the Lions through 2029.
Since arriving in Orlando, Martín Ojeda has established himself as a key figure in the Lions’ attack, but since last season, the Argentine has stepped it up a notch and become an unstoppable force on the offensive end of the pitch.
Signing with the Lions in 2023, Ojeda has been with the Club for the last four years and has built up his ties with the City Beautiful. Those ties in the community, alongside his family, were a major factor in his decision to commit long-term.
“I'm very happy from my part, but also very happy from the part of my wife and my son," Ojeda told OrlandoCitySC.com, "They're so happy to be a part of this city and this club. And we've had three beautiful years here already. That was a major factor in my choosing to sign this new contract and to stay here long term. I was just really happy to renew my contract and to continue being a part of this community.”
Since joining the Lions in 2023, he has set numerous club records, including goal contributions in a single season across all competitions with 39 last season, passing former Designated Player Facundo Torres, while also tying Torres for the most goals scored in a single year across all competitions with 20. His growth from that first year to 2025 has shaped Ojeda, both as a player and as a person, something that he's incredibly grateful for.
“On the football side of things, I've learned a lot," he said. "I think from the outside, it's been said at times that MLS is a league that you come to retire, but choosing to come here and choosing to come to this club, I've clearly seen that it's not. I've learned so much. I've been taught so much on the football side of things, and then from another perspective, as a human being, I've grown so much, and this club is one of family. It's one that's always united. We're always pulling on the same side of things. I'm just really grateful to be able to continue here and for everything that they've taught me and to continue that growth.”
Now, as Ojeda looks ahead to his future in purple, his focus remains firmly on silverware and pushing Orlando City toward its biggest ambitions.
“I think for me, my goal is to win MLS Cup. I want to win all of the other cups, Leagues Cup, Open Cup, every competition that we play in, and that's ahead of us. I want to win, not just for me, but for the team and for the Club as well. That's our primary goal," he said. "But we've got those goals to win, to win every competition that we play in as well. I think it's really important for Orlando as a club to continue thinking big, to think about every competition we play in, to push ourselves through to the final, and then win. So I think just continuing to have that ambition, that positivity as we move forward, and pushing all together to achieve those dreams and fight for every every minute that we're out there, whether we're at home in front of our fans, or whether we're out there on the road.”
Ultimately, Ojeda wants to continue his upward trajectory, both for himself and for the team, and for him, the best place to do that right now is here in the City Beautiful.
