Orlando City SC Head Coach Oscar Pareja

Opening Statement

"Congratulations to the players for such an effort tonight—the discipline, the willingness to do the task on the pitch, the tactical respect that they have for the game the whole 90-plus minutes. It was something that we were insisting on during the week and they won a very important game and very well-deserved, too. So again, congrats to the players for such an important victory.”

On Ramiro Enrique’s impact tonight:

“Ramiro [Enrique] is just a good example of his professionalism, his dedication, his patience, the energy that he brought us today, and not just the two goals he scored that obviously are the most important, but I think the sensibility he showed today with his group coming from the bench and giving us the best. Again, big, big game for us and Ramiro did a phenomenal job today and he just gives us a lot of tools when he comes from the bench or starting. He’s an example for the youngsters with that respect for the group.”

On Martín Ojeda’s effort and performance:

“It’s so important for us. We depend a lot on that different talent that the DPs have and what Martín [Ojeda] has done this year is prove everyone how important and how good he is. What I have to remark is with Martín Ojeda, you guarantee effort, talent, sacrifice, discipline. He’s not the one who needs the lights and attention. He just does the job the best he can for his team and I’m so glad that he’s scoring goals because that makes him even more important and one of the best players in the league in this moment. So we’re happy to have Martín in this moment and we’re going to try to keep him at that level as long as we can.”

Orlando City SC Forward Iván Angulo

Opening Statement

"A difficult game. We knew it was going to be this way. We knew Columbus is a great team, a team that keeps the ball the majority of the game. We suffered a lot in the first half, but I think we improved in the second half. I think the team showed a lot of character, and thankfully, we achieved the victory.”

On his recent performances:

“I think I’ve been growing in confidence. I think the confidence I’ve had in that aspect of the attack is important. I’ve also been helping on the defensive end in all the games, but now that things have been going well, I’ve been calmer with more confidence, so I’m very happy with that and I hope to continue this way, keep working and keep contributing to the team on both sides of the ball.”

On finishing with a win before the team’s Leagues Cup campaign:

“I think it’s very important and gives us a lot of confidence to finish this stage of the season with this great win against a great rival. I think that gives us a lot of confidence. We start a new tournament on Wednesday with Leagues Cup so we hope to tackle it in the best way, to start with a win at home. I hope our fans can be there to give us that support we need so we can start in the best way.”
