Meet the opponent: Atlanta United
-Â Atlanta rescued a point against Orlando on Saturday after trailing for nearly 70 minutes, thanks to midfielder Jay Fortune, who has a goal in back-to-back games for the Five Stripes. Atlanta is 3-1-1 in its last five games in all competitions.
- Like the Lions, the Five Stripes reached the quarterfinals with two away wins. Atlanta won 3-1 at MLS Next Pro side Chattanooga FC in the Round of 32 behind goals from Cayman Togashi, Fafa Picault, and Pedro Amador, then went to the Mecklenburg County Sports Complex in Matthews, NC and knocked off Charlotte FC 2-0 with goals from Alexey Miranchuk and Cooper Sanchez.
- Orlando owes Atlanta a U.S. Open Cup receipt; the Five Stripes eliminated the Lions in the 2019 semifinal at Inter&Co Stadium en route to lifting the trophy for the first and only time in club history. That 2019 Open Cup is the most recent trophy Atlanta United has won in any competition.
