Everything you need to know for the Lions' match hosting the team from Ohio in "The Road Ahead" driven by Audi:
Milestones
- MartÃn Ojeda and Ramiro Enrique are tied with Chris Mueller for seventh in Orlando City history with 22 goals in all competitions. The two Argentines are both two goals away from catching Dom Dwyer in sixth and three away from Kaká in fifth.
- Marco Pašalić’s next goal will make him the eighth player in club history to score double digit goals in all competitions in their first MLS-era season with Orlando City after Cyle Larin (2015), Kaká (2015), Nani (2019), Tesho Akindele (2019), Facundo Torres (2022), Ercan Kara (2022), and Duncan McGuire (2023).
- Pedro Gallese is five saves away from 500 for Orlando City in all competitions.
- Kyle Smith is three appearances away from becoming the second Orlando City player ever to reach 200 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Stats & Storylines
- Orlando City blasted out to a 3-0 lead and held on for a 4-2 win in St. Louis on Wednesday night, the Lions’ second straight away win over a Western Conference opponent. The Lions are tied for first in the Eastern Conference and third in MLS with 36 goals scored this season.
- Marco Pašalić and Ramiro Enrique became the first pair of Lions to score a brace in the same match since Benji Michel and Daryl Dike on June 22, 2021 against the San Jose Earthquakes. Nani and Tesho Akindele also managed the feat on May 19, 2019 against FC Cincinnati.
- After a slow start to the season, Enrique is heating up – the young Argentine has scored at least once in each of his past four starts in all competitions and has six goals in his last ten appearances overall since May 7.
- Eduard Atuesta picked up three assists in the game, helping on both Pašalić goals and Enrique’s second. Atuesta’s triple-assist night tied the club record for a single match and was the second such game Orlando has seen in the past two seasons, after Nicolás Lodeiro managed it last April in a comeback victory over D.C. United. Atuesta has tied a career high with six assists this season through just 13 appearances.
- MartÃn Ojeda extended his goal contribution streak to four games, assisting on Enrique’s opener. Ojeda set the club record last summer, going seven consecutive matches with a goal or an assist.
- With the win in St. Louis, Orlando City improved to 4-2-4 away from home on the season, tied for the third-most points and the second-best points per game of any Eastern Conference team. The Lions are 21-12-11 on the road in MLS regular season play since the start of 2023.
- Orlando City is back at home this weekend for the first time since May 31, a span of 28 days. The four weeks is the longest the Lions will go without a home match during the 2025 season. Including the Leagues Cup group stage, Orlando is scheduled to play eight of its next 11 matches at Inter&Co Stadium.
- Orlando City right back Alex Freeman was voted into the MLS All-Star team on the back of a breakout season that has seen him emerge as a top star in the league and push his way into the United States Men’s National Team. Freeman started all three group stage games as the U.S. swept through Trinidad & Tobago, Saudi Arabia, and Haiti to reach the quarterfinals. The Americans face Costa Rica on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the home of the Minnesota Vikings.

Meet the opponent: FC Cincinnati
- Orlando City has enjoyed plenty of success against FC Cincinnati since the Orange and Blue entered MLS in 2019. The Lions have particularly excelled in Cincy, where they have just one loss in six against the Garys and have won in back-to-back seasons.
- Last year it was Ramiro Enrique who led the charge, scoring in the 10th minute to get Orlando in front and putting the finishing touches on a 3-1 win in the 72’. Iván Angulo had the game-winner, breaking a 1-1 deadlock with a goal in the 66’.
- Both FC Cincinnati goals against Orlando in 2024 were scored by longtime Lions nemesis Luciano Acosta, who has since made his way to FC Dallas. Cincinnati reloaded with two big money superstars – Brazilian playmaker Evander, acquired for $12 million in a cash-for-player trade with Portland, and Togolese international striker Kévin Denkey, signed from Belgium for a reported $16.2 million transfer fee.
- Evander, an MVP candidate in 2024 with 15g/19a for the Timbers, has replicated his form further east, compiling 9g/7a through 17 MLS appearances with Cincinnati and reaching the MLS All-Star team. Denkey has been a hit as well, scoring 11 times in 18 matches in his debut season. Evander and Denkey account for more than two thirds of Cincinnati’s goal output in the 2025 regular season (20 of 29).
- Other key players for the Orange and Blue include center back Matt Miazga, the 2023 MLS Defender of the Year who returned in April after 10 months out with a torn ACL; defensive midfielder Obinna Nwobodo, one of the best at his position in the league; and goalkeeper Roman Celentano, who has played every minute for Cincinnati while posting 54 saves and six clean sheets.
