Everything you need to know for the Lions' away match in Ohio in "The Road Ahead" driven by Audi:
Milestones
- Orlando City’s next goal will be its 59th of the 2025 regular season, tying last year’s record haul. The Lions are two goals from their first 60-goal MLS campaign in club history and a new single-season club record for goalscoring.
- MartÃn Ojeda’s next goal, his 21st of 2025, will set a new single-season record for Orlando City in all competitions, surpassing Facundo Torres’ 20-goal haul in 2024. Ojeda would also tie Cyle Larin’s 17-goal 2015 for the most goals scored in an MLS regular season in club history.
- Ojeda is two assists away from achieving the first 20/20 season in club history. Two goal contributions of any kind would give Ojeda 40 combined goals and assists for the season across all competitions.
- Duncan McGuire’s next goal will be his 30th for Orlando City in all competitions. McGuire is two goals away from tying Nani for fourth in club history at 31 goals.
- Orlando City officially clinched a sixth consecutive Audi MLS Cup Playoffs berth last night after the New York Red Bulls lost to New York City FC. It's the second-longest active streak in Major League Soccer (New York Red Bulls, 15 seasons).
Stats & Storylines
- Orlando City earned a massive three points over the weekend, defeating Nashville SC 3-2 at Inter&Co Stadium on the back of a MartÃn Ojeda brace and Duncan McGuire’s dramatic 90+5’ winner. The win was Orlando’s first in regular time across all competitions since August 16, which was also the date of the club’s last home match prior to this one.
- McGuire’s goal was his first since his return from an injury and subsequent surgery suffered back in May and his third of 2025. Both of the Omaha native’s regular season goals this year have been game-winners. McGuire’s goals per 90 for his Orlando City career is within hundredths of a point of Cyle Larin and Daryl Dike among the three best in club history.
- Ojeda continues to author the greatest individual campaign in club history, reaching 16g/14a in MLS regular season play and 20g/18a in all competitions with his brace on Saturday. The Argentine is second in MLS in assists with 14 (Anders Dreyer, SD, 18) and tied for third in goal contributions with 30 (Lionel Messi, MIA, 34; Dreyer, 33; Denis Bouanga, LAFC, 30, and Evander, CIN, 30).
- Orlando City’s home form has been impeccable in recent weeks, with the Lions winning five consecutive matches at Inter&Co Stadium across all competitions for the first time since 2017, when the team opened the venue with five straight victories. Orlando has scored at least three goals in each of the five wins and sports a +12 goal difference (18 for, six against).
- The Lions will appear on Sunday Night Soccer presented by Continental Tire for the third time in 2025 this weekend, facing FC Cincinnati that was flexed into the matchday’s spotlight slot last month. Orlando obliterated Inter Miami in each of the Lions’ first two appearances in the marquee game, winning 3-0 in Fort Lauderdale on May 18 and 4-1 at Inter&Co Stadium on August 10.

Meet the opponent: FC Cincinnati
- Cincinnati ranks as one of MLS’ best clubs for a third straight year, sitting just two points back of Philadelphia for the Supporters’ Shield lead entering Matchday 37. The Garys knocked off LA Galaxy 3-2 in Carson last weekend for their league-best 10th away victory of the campaign.
- Cincy is led by Brazilian attacking midfielder Evander, who ranks up with MartÃn Ojeda among the top Landon Donovan MLS MVP candidates. Evander has 17g/13a in MLS regular season action this year, padded by a trio of assists he dished out this past weekend against the Galaxy. The Cincinnati No. 10 scored a brace for the Orange and Blue in Cincinnati’s 2-1 win at Inter&Co Stadium on June 28.
- Evander is aided by DP striker Kévin Denkey, MLS’ record incoming transfer at the time of his signing who has scored 13 times in his debut season, and returning forward Brenner, who delivered 18 goals for Cincinnati in 2022 and has already struck three times in three games since coming back to southwest Ohio on loan from Italian Serie A club Udinese.
- While Cincinnati has been remarkable away from home over the past three seasons, winning double digit road games in each of the past three seasons, it has been much less assured at TQL Stadium. The Garys are just 15-12-5 at home in MLS regular season play since the start of 2024 and recently went on a four-game home losing streak, snapping it just two weeks ago with a 2-1 win over Nashville.
