Stats & Storylines

- This past Saturday in Miami, Orlando City became the fourth team in MLS history and the first since the inaugural El Traffico in 2018 to come back from three goals down to win, overcoming a 3-0 deficit to stun the Herons 4-3 and record the first-ever win by any team at Nu Stadium. Martín Ojeda scored the first three goals for his second career hat trick, while Tyrese Spicer notched the winner in second half stoppage time.

- With his hat trick, Ojeda became the third player in club history with 40 career goals in all competitions and the first to reach 40g/40a overall. Ojeda has recorded hat tricks in consecutive seasons, the only two hat tricks for Orlando City since the club saw three in its first MLS season in 2015. The Argentine was named MLS Player of the Matchday for his performance against Miami.

- Homegrown forward Justin Ellis continued his rise, putting Ojeda in with a beautiful touch for the Argentine’s first goal in Miami. Ellis has recorded a goal contribution in four straight games in all competitions since moving into the starting lineup, and Orlando City has won three of the four matches.

- Tyrese Spicer has scored in three of his last five games, including two of his last three substitute appearances. Spicer also has a goal contribution in each of his past three appearances, all off the bench. With 5g/3a in 723 career minutes for Orlando City, Spicer has averaged a goal or an assist every 90 minutes for his Lions career.

- Goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau made seven saves against Miami, all in the first half, including a four-save sequence that was named the top play of the night on ESPN’s SportsCenter. The Herons did not record a shot on target in the second half of the game.

- Florida is Purple: Orlando City has retaken the overall lead against Inter Miami in their all-time series, going up 8-7-5 in all competitions through 20 matchups. The Lions have an 8-5-4 record in the regular season and have won three of the past four MLS matchups between the Florida sides, scoring 13 goals across the four games.

Meet the opponent: CF Montréal

- Orlando City has gone unbeaten in seven against CF Montréal dating back to 2023. The Lions won the first game of Martín Perelman’s interim tenure against CFM back on March 14, with Duncan McGuire and Martín Ojeda finding the back of the net in a 2-1 victory.

- Maxime Crépeau is set to play in his native Quebec for the first time as a Lion, fresh off out-dueling his international teammate Dayne St. Clair in Orlando’s win over Inter Miami. Crépeau spent nine years in the Montréal organization from 2010-18, joining the club’s academy at age 15 and going on to make three MLS appearances for the first team. Crépeau left Montréal for a starting opportunity with Vancouver in 2019 and established himself as one of the league’s top shot-stoppers.

- Martín Ojeda has scored in three consecutive seasons against Montréal, netting in Leagues Cup in 2024 and striking in regular season action in 2025 and 2026.

- Montréal striker Prince Owusu has three goals against Orlando City in his career and has scored in each of his past two appearances against the Lions. Owusu has quietly become one of the more productive No. 9s in the league since moving to Quebec last year, notching 19g/9a in 44 MLS appearances for Montréal, including 6g/4a in 2026.
