Down 2-0 and without their captain late in the first half, Orlando City looked to be in for a long evening on Wednesday night. And while they didn’t come away with the result in the end, the Lions showed their trademark resilience and spirit, climbing back to 2-2 before CF Montréal’s numbers won out.

To that end, it was a big night for Robin Jansson, who got Orlando back in the game with his first career MLS goal:

Jansson had scored once before in purple, in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against Memphis 901 FC, but this was his first league goal. This one went in with no questions for the Swede, who saw what he thought was his debut MLS tally ruled out for a marginal offside on August 27 against Miami.

Beyond the goal, Jansson connected on 88.9% of his passes on the evening while chipping in a tackle, two clearances, five ball recoveries, and a block.
