Strong Defensive Form Brings Confidence for Match Against Montréal

Tally Hall Story

Sylvan Lake Park has been busy this week as Orlando City focus on their match against the Montréal Impact on Saturday. The Lions look to take the field with high spirits after their winning streak was extended last weekend at New York.

City’s goalkeeper Tally Hall was very complimentary when speaking of the defensive side of the team, “Practices are still extremely upbeat this late in the season.” He continues, “We’ve done a very good job defensively on shutting the bigger players down and that’s gonna build our confidence.”

With much of the focus recently on Montreal star Dider Drogba, Tally understands, “There’s a good chance that I could be pretty busy, but that’s my job.” He then puts it all into perspective, “In the grand scheme of things, what we do on the field is a lot more important than what they do.”

The Orlando City players are less focused on Drogba and more interested in the way the team plays this weekend. In Kaká’s opinion, “All of this hype is created by the press. On the field, it is Orlando City vs. Montréal. I don’t think about beating Drogba. We are friends, but I want to beat Montreal.”

Hall is counting on the fans to help the Lions continue their unbeaten run. “The fans here continue to blow me away. It’s been a phenomenal year; even when times haven’t been the best for us, the fans have been behind us.” Tally continues, “And now with our current run of form, and the importance of this game, I don’t doubt that there’ll be the expected 45,000 in the stands and more.”

Orlando City will be kicking off at the Citrus Bowl at 7:30 on Saturday night. With Montréal Impact sitting in the highly desired final playoff spot, this could prove to be one of the biggest games of the season for the Lions.
