Team of the Week
Goalkeeper Pedro Gallese had a standout performance in Colorado on Wednesday, registering six saves at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, including two goal line clearances to preserve the point for the Lions on the road. El Pulpo’s performance earned him MLS Team of the Week honors, the fourth time he’s earned that honor this campaign.

A Fourth for Facundo
Facundo Torres scored his fourth goal in Major League Soccer on Wednesday night and his fifth in all competitions for the side, taking sole possession of second on the team behind teammate Ercan Kara. The Lions’ Designated Player now leads the Club in goal contributions this campaign, with 11 total since signing this past offseason.

Against the Five Stripes
Sunday will mark the first time the Lions will take on their neighbors to the north in 2022, with the two sides splitting the series a year ago with City taking a 1-1-1 record through three meetings. The sides opened the campaign against one another on April 17, 2021, battling to a scoreless draw, with the home side going on to take the victory in the subsequent two contests.

Back in the Fold
Antonio Carlos returned to the starting lineup for the Lions on Wednesday night for the first time since being sidelined with injury on April 2, going the full 90 for the side in Commerce City. The Brazilian defender has appeared for 66 times in purple now, with his next start serving as his 60th in all competitions for the Club.
