Over 30 Orlando City Youth Soccer Players Commit to Universities on National Signing Day

Signing Day 2015

ORLANDO – February 4, 2015 – Orlando City Youth Soccer (OCYS) recognized 32 of its student-athletes today, as each player officially announced their university of choice for the 2015 fall season during National Signing Day.

OCYS' annual Signing Day marked the second consecutive year in which over 30 Orlando City male and female youth players have committed to various colleges across the United States.

Additionally, several more players are expected to commit to universities in the coming months - displaying the Club's continued emphasis on player development and college placement.

"We're very proud of all of our players who are a part of National Signing Day," said Orlando City SC Founder and President Phil Rawlins. "College placement has always been a key area of focus for our youth organization, and today's announcement fully showcases that effort."

"Today was a very special day for everyone involved at Orlando City," said OCYS Executive Director Stephen Rammel. "To have over 30 players commit to universities for the second consecutive year is a true testament to all of the hard work put in by each player, their families and members of our coaching staff on a daily basis."
