Orlando Pride Goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris To Miss Eight Weeks

ORLANDO, Fla. (May 23, 2017) - Orlando Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris will miss approximately eight weeks after suffering a quadriceps injury near the hip in the first half of Sunday’s match at Seattle Reign FC. The player was evaluated by the Club’s medical team at Orlando Health on Tuesday morning.  


Caroline Stanley will remain with the Pride as a goalkeeper replacement for Harris and will travel to New Jersey for Saturday’s match against Sky Blue FC. Stanley was signed after goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe was ruled out of last weekend’s match.


Harris has started and worn the captain’s armband in every match for the Pride this season. The Satellite Beach, Fla., native earned NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year in 2016.
