Orlando City SC U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinal Tickets On Sale Starting June 3

ORLANDO, Fla. (May 26, 2022) – Orlando City SC will host Nashville SC at Exploria Stadium in the Quarterfinals of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the 107th edition of the cup competition. The Lions’ match is set for Wednesday, June 29 at 7 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+. Tickets for City’s quarterfinal match are set to go on sale on Friday, June 3, it was announced today.

Orlando City Season Ticket Members will receive priority access on June 3 beginning at 10 a.m. ET, with tickets going on sale to the general public that same day at 2 p.m. ET. Tickets can be purchased at the link here. Additional information will be sent to Season Ticket Members on Thursday, June 2.

City advanced to the quarterfinals after taking down intrastate foes Inter Miami CF via a penalty shootout in the Round of 16, advancing past the Ft. Lauderdale-based side 4-2 in the shootout and making it to the Quarterfinals for the third-consecutive time. 

Nashville SC is currently sixth in MLS’ Western Conference standings with a record of 5-4-4 and 19 points in the regular season. Nashville advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Louisville City FC of USL Championship 2-1 at Lynn Family Stadium.

The competition is taking place for the first time since 2019, after the 2020 and 2021 editions were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Open Cup is the oldest ongoing soccer competition in the United States and had been played 106 consecutive years since 1913 until the cancellation of the 2020 edition. 

City holds a 15-9-4 record in the competition dating back to the 2011 campaign. The Lions’ best run in the Open Cup came in their last appearance in 2019, making it to the semifinals, falling to eventual champions Atlanta United. City’s run included the legendary “Running of the Wall” game against New York City FC at Exploria Stadium.
