ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 18, 2025) – Orlando City SC selected five players on Thursday afternoon in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft, adding a forward, a midfielder and three defenders. With their four first-round picks, the Lions selected forward Harvey Sarajian (No. 5 overall; Wake Forest University), defender Nolan Miller (No. 9 overall; University of Michigan), defender Jaylen Yearwood (No. 14 overall; University of North Florida) and midfielder Issah Haruna (No. 20 overall; University of North Carolina Greensboro). The Club also traded the No. 43 overall pick to St. Louis CITY SC in exchange for $50,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM), along with selecting defender Mitch Ferguson (No. 74 overall; University of Notre Dame).
“We’re really pleased with how the draft unfolded today,” said Orlando City SC General Manager and Sporting Director Ricardo Moreira. “We were able to select a strong mix of talented players in positions of need, while also acquiring valuable assets that strengthen our overall roster. The draft continues to be an important mechanism for adding depth and young talent across the different stages of our developmental pathway.”

Sarajian, 20, recently completed his sophomore season at Wake Forest University, where he logged two goals and two assists in 17 appearances. He transferred to the Demon Deacons following a standout freshman campaign with Georgia Southern in 2024, where he earned Sun Belt Freshman of the Year honors and a place on the All-Sun Belt First Team. He was one of only seven freshmen nationally named to a United Soccer Coaches all-region team, securing All-Southeast Region Second-Team recognition, while also being selected to the TopDrawerSoccer Freshman Best XI Second-Team and ranked No. 22 on the TopDrawerSoccer Top 100 Freshman list. Sarajian appeared in every match, starting 16, and led the Eagles in assists with six helpers in addition to scoring four goals.

Miller, 21, has been a cornerstone of Michigan’s back line throughout his four-year career, earning two Second Team All-Big Ten honors (2023, 2025), United Soccer Coaches All-North Region recognition (2024) and a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team (2022). He started every match in both his junior and senior seasons, logging over 1,600 minutes each year while contributing key goals and assists. Off the field, he twice earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. Before Michigan, Miller developed with the Columbus Crew U-19 and MLS NEXT Pro sides, as well as the Vardar U-17 MLS NEXT side.

A senior full back from the University of North Florida, Yearwood, 21, is a 2024 ASUN Champion, CSC Academic All-District Team selection (2023) and three-time ASUN Academic Honor Roll honoree (2022–23, 2023–24, 2024–25). In his junior season, Yearwood logged 1,011 minutes across 14 matches with 13 starts, recording five assists, including three consecutive in ASUN competition and two in the conference tournament. As a sophomore, he started all 11 matches, playing 879 minutes, following a freshman campaign where he was one of two UNF freshmen to appear in all 14 matches.

Haruna, a sophomore midfielder from UNC Greensboro, was selected after a standout freshman season with the Spartans in 2024. The Ghana native was named Southern Conference Freshman of the Year, earned All-SoCon Second Team and All-Freshman Team honors and helped UNC Greensboro capture a share of the regular season title. Haruna appeared in 16 matches with 12 starts, contributing three goals and three assists for nine points, while also earning national recognition from TopDrawerSoccer in the Freshman Top 100 and Team of the Week.

Ferguson, 22, capped his Notre Dame career as team captain in 2025, starting all 20 matches at center back while tying for the team lead in points (11) and goals (5). He earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors in September after scoring a hat trick against Wright State, and later delivered the match-winner in a 1-0 victory over No. 14 Oregon State. Over four seasons in South Bend, Ferguson appeared in 70 matches, anchoring the Irish back line to multiple clean sheets while contributing offensively with goals in each campaign, including clutch free-kick strikes against Boston College and Stanford in 2024. A Portland Timbers Academy product, he previously captained the U-17 and U-19 squads, became the youngest starter in Timbers 2 history and was invited to two U.S. U-16 national team training camps.
