ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 17, 2025) – Following the conclusion of its 11th Major League Soccer season and sixth straight Audi MLS Cup Playoffs appearance, the longest active streak in MLS, Orlando City SC has announced the end-of-season statuses for each of its players.
The Lions enter the 2025-26 offseason with 14 players under guaranteed contracts for the upcoming campaign. That group includes forwards Duncan McGuire, Luis Muriel, Marco Pašalić and Nico Rodríguez; midfielders Gustavo Caraballo, Colin Guske and Dagur Dan Thórhallsson; defenders David Brekalo, Adrián Marín, Tahir Reid-Brown, Rodrigo Schlegel, Zakaria Taifi and Thomas Williams; and goalkeeper Javier Otero.
Orlando City has exercised contract options on forwards Iván Angulo, Tyrese Spicer and Yutaro Tsukada; midfielders Eduard Atuesta, Joran Gerbet and Martín Ojeda; and defender Alex Freeman.
The contracts of goalkeeper Pedro Gallese, defender Kyle Smith and midfielders César Araújo and Wilder Cartagena have expired, while the Club declined the option of defender Robin Jansson. The Lions have signed Cartagena to a new contract and are currently in negotiations with Jansson and Smith regarding potential returns in 2026.
The Club has also declined the contract options of goalkeeper Carlos Mercado, midfielder Shak Mohammed and forward Favian Loyola.
