Orlando City gets first taste of home cooking in exhibition draw against Rapids

ORLANDO, Fla. -- There's nothing like home cooking, and Orlando City enjoyed plenty of it on Saturday to continue their unbeaten run in exhibition play.

The Lions rallied from a two-goal, second-half deficit to earn a 2-2 draw against the Colorado Rapids in their third closed-door scrimmage -- the first match this preseason at Exploria Stadium.

Following a scoreless first half, City fell behind Colorado 2-0 before Gastón González got the Lions on the board, finishing a nice cross from Dagur Dan Thórhallsson in the 70th minute. Jack Lynn then followed by notching the equalizer in the 79th.

A goal by Cole Bassett in the 58th and Diego Rubio's conversion from the penalty spot in the 68th accounted for both of the Rapids scores.

The Lions will face Stetson University on Wednesday in another closed-door match before their final tuneup ahead of the regular season next Saturday against New England at Exploria Stadium where Orlando City will unveil its new home kit.

Activities and entertainment start at 5:30 p.m. The new jersey will be revealed at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Fans can reserve tickets for $10 by **clicking here** with proceeds benefitting the Orlando City Foundation.
