KISSIMMEE, Fla. (May 21, 2022) - Orlando City B (2-3-2, 10 points) got back in the win column on Saturday night, putting together a tremendous performance over in-state foe Inter Miami CF II (3-5-1, 10 points) at Osceola County Stadium. The Lions earned a 6-0 win over the Florida rivals, with four different goal scorers on the night, including a hat trick from rookie Jack Lynn.

Wilfredo Rivera earned a goal and assist on the evening, with Brandon Hackenberg and Victor Yan both scoring their first goals of the year.

Javier Otero and the OCB defense held strong in the match, holding the visitors to just one shot on goal.

Orlando City B Head Coach Martín Perelman:

“I’m really happy for our players. They have been [putting in] a great effort all of these months. I think they deserved this. At home, six goals, I think it’s fantastic for them and I’m really happy…For us it’s so important to have a clean sheet, always. We do so much effort for [goal] prevention, and try to attack and defend with the ball, and today we were able to do it. So great job by our players, it’s their merit, not us.”

Scoring Recap:

8’ Jack Lynn (Moises Tablante) - OCB 1, MIA 0

Just a minute off of the weather delay, Jack Lynn took advantage of the break, catching the Herons on their heels. The 2022 MLS SuperDraft selection connected on a cross from Moises Tablante toe-poking the ball in on the doorstep.

21’ Wilfredo Rivera (Victor Yan) - OCB 2, MIA 0

The home side doubled its lead on a tremendous individual effort from Wilfredo Rivera, who sent the Lions out on the counterattack before receiving the ball back at the top of the box. From the distance, Rivera struck a low, left-footed shot for the second goal of the game.

31’ Brandon Hackenberg (Wilfredo Rivera) - OCB 3, MIA 0

The Lions kept things going, this time with 2021 draft selection Brandon Hackenberg getting on the end of a Wilfredo Rivera cross from a short corner, heading home the third of the night for OCB.

63’ Jack Lynn (Moises Tablante) - OCB 4, MIA 0

Lynn and Tablante connected yet again on the night, this time with Tablante driving a cross in from the left side. Lynn collected with a quick spin move, alluding his defender before firing home unmarked for his second of the night.

74’ Victor Yan (Alex Freeman) - OCB 5, MIA 0

Victor Yan netted his first goal of the year following a takeaway deep in the Miami end. After a quick give-and-go with Alex Freeman, Yan coolly sent a dipping shot from distance up and over the Miami goalkeeper to build on the Lions’ lead.

85’ Jack Lynn (Moises Tablante) - OCB 6, MIA 0
