An Open Letter to the City Beautiful,
In October 2010, we came to Orlando with a dream for soccer in this City. That vision included the following bold goals:
Build a Major League Soccer franchise of which the community would be proud;
Construct an authentic soccer stadium in downtown; and
Attract global superstars and build a competitive team.
In the past four years, we have worked together to overcome obstacles, often in tearful triumph, we have celebrated Championships and grown an unwavering army of support from every facet of this wonderful community. Your Purple Pride has engulfed the City and the Lion Nation was forged. Oh, and we signed former World Player of the Year - Kaká.
We stand now on the verge of history.
On March 8, 2015 at 5 p.m. ET, Orlando City SC will take the field for the first time at the new Citrus Bowl as a Major League Soccer (MLS) team - the culmination of our fans’ collective dreams to bring the beautiful game to the City Beautiful. The game will be live on ESPN, showcasing the Orlando we know and love to the rest of the country – let’s show them how and why we earned this!
Today, we officially launch Operation #FillTheBowl to ensure every fan possible can be a part of that historic day. The stadium will be electric for this match – and here’s how you can be a part of history:
Purchase a group of tickets for your friends and family
Purchase an individual game ticket for yourself
Purchase a block of tickets to donate to a local charity
