Olympic Breakdown: Catch All the Orlando Pride Players at the Olympics

Are you worried about missing your favorite Orlando Pride players during the NWSL Olympic Break? We’ve got you covered with a breakdown of the Pride players featured in the women’s soccer tournament.

Forward Alex Morgan and Goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris will be starting their Olympics on Wednesday, August 3rd as the U.S.A takes on New Zealand at 7:00pm. They will go on to face France on Saturday August 6th at 5:00pm and Colombia on Tuesday August 9th at 6:00pm before hopefully moving on to the group stage.

Defender Monica Hickman Alves will be representing the host country of Brazil. Her Olympic journey will start on Wednesday, August 3rd at 4:00pm when Brazil takes on China. They will go on to play Sweden on Saturday August 6th at 10:00pm and South Africa on Tuesday August 9th at 9:00pm. Brazil will certainly have an advantage as the host nation and are hoping to use this opportunity to show their power on the international stage.

Defenders Steph Catley and Laura Alleway will be playing with the Australian team and will be looking to build off their success at the 2015 World Cup. They will be starting the tournament against Canada on Wednesday, August 3rd at 3:00pm. On Saturday August 6th at 6:00pm they will be taking on a powerful Germany, before going on to play Olympic newcomers Zimbabwe at 4:00pm on August 9th.

Defender Josée Bélanger will be traveling to Brazil with the Canadian team. Their first game is on Wednesday, August 3rd at 3:00pm against Australia. On Saturday August 6th, they will play Zimbabwe at 3:00pm before traveling to take on Germany on Tuesday August 9th at 4:00pm. Canada’s team features many NWSL stars and the team will be looking to prove themselves in a challenging group.

There are plenty of Orlando Pride players featured in the Olympics, so don’t miss out! The Pride will return to regular play on Friday, August 26th when they take on the Washington Spirit at Camping World Stadium at 7:30pm.
