MLS and Orlando City Honor Childhood Cancer Victims on Saturday

Kick Cancer

In honor of the MLS annual Kick Childhood Cancer campaign, Orlando City will have some special events going on at Saturday’s match against the Columbus Crew. This will be the second year of the campaign, and this year it will be linked with the Scarftember campaign, which helps fans to honor their favorite MLS teams.

Players in Saturday’s match will warm up and walk out in Kick Childhood Cancer t-shirts, and the coaches and training staff will wear an honorary scarf during the match. In addition, each jersey will have a special Kick Childhood Cancer patch, and the soccer nets and corner flags will be gold to promote Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Fans will have the opportunity to bid for game-worn memorabilia, so keep an eye out for more information about the auctions.

In addition, fans will be able to purchase Kick Childhood Cancer campaign t-shirts and scarves during Saturday’s match. On social media, MLS will donate a dollar to fight childhood cancer every time someone uses #ScarvesUp on Twitter and Instagram. A special snapchat filter will also be available at the game.

On game day, Orlando City will recognize children who are fighting cancer, as well as organizations who are looking for a cure. Be sure to come out and support such an important campaign. The match against the Columbus Crew will kickoff at 7:30pm at Camping World Stadium.
