Pride Poster

The Orlando Pride will continue their inaugural season this Saturday, April 23rd for their first home game in the Citrus Bowl. Since the announcement of the schedule there has been a campaign to break a National Women's Soccer League record for fan attendance, dubbed #FilledWithPride. As the first ever women’s professional soccer team in Central Florida, The Pride will look to bring attention to women’s soccer as well as women’s sports in general.

To celebrate this historic game and the start of professional women’s soccer in Orlando, the Orlando Pride will release a commemorative gameday poster. All proceeds from the purchase of the game day poster will go to the Orlando City Foundation, a nonprofit organization which uses the sport of soccer to promote a healthy lifestyle that enables children and families to reach their full potential.

For Saturday’s game local artist Patricia Mesquita, better known as iPattyCake, designed the one and only Pride gameday poster for the season. Inspired by the excitement surrounding the game, Patricia says it was the, “energy and hype from the fans since the match was announced” that got her going. She goes on to say “I wanted to be part of this new piece of history for the NWSL and how special this event is to the Orlando community as well.”

Although Patricia is finishing school, she continues to work on new projects, currently designing for virtual reality programs.
