Lousivlle Preview

ORLANDO (August 25, 2015) – Orlando City SC travels to Louisville Slugger Field for a friendly against USL side Louisville City FC on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Kick-off is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. ET. The match will be streamed on Louisville City’s YouTube page.
The fixture will reunite several individuals who were part of Orlando City during its USL years. Louisville City FC head coach James O’Connor is a former Orlando City player/coach, winning the regular season championship and the USL championship with Orlando in 2012.

Additionally, defender Bryan Burke and midfielder Aodhan Quinn also played for the Lions in the 2014 season.

Located in second place of the USL Eastern Conference table, Louisville enters the match having lost one out of their previous 10 games – most recently defeating Charleston Battery 3-1 on Saturday.

Previously this season, City has showcased outstanding performances in their friendlies this year. Late goals in the waning moments gave Orlando a 3-2 victory over Brazilian Serie A Ponte Preta on May 2nd. Two months later, the Lions defeated English Premier League squad West Bromwich Albion 3-1 with finishes from its three Designated Players – including a highlight-worthy score from Kaká, who dribbled from the half past three defenders to slide the ball just past West Brom’s keeper to open the scoreline.
