Defender Tommy Redding Called Up To U.S. U18 MNT

Orlando, Fla.- Orlando City SC’s first Major League Soccer (MLS) homegrown signing Tommy Redding has been called up to the U.S. U18 Men’s National Team’s domestic training camp.
Redding will join U18 Head Coach Hugo Perez’s 24 man roster this week for games against Mexico and Canada in Carson, Calif., as they begin preparation for the U20 World Cup in three years.


At 17 years old, Redding is the youngest player on the Lions’ roster and has yet to make his professional debut after suffering an injury during preseason. Known as a quick and athletic defender, Redding is one of the elite players in the country for his age and has the ability to play multiple positions.


The Oviedo, Fla. native made headlines last year after several impressive performances during the FIFA U17 World Cup qualifying matches.
