The City U-14 purple team featured their abilities in the Disney Junior Showcase last weekend making their presence known on the national stage. The young Lions made it all the way to the finals of the top bracket in their division capping a great performance in the competition.
The purple U-14s topped their group beating KSA (Georgia) 2-0, Chicago Magic 2-2, Blazers (Massachusetts) 3-1 sending them to the knockout rounds. In the semi-finals the Lions dispatched Weston 1-0 in extra time concluding a highly contested match. The City youngsters unfortunately fell short in the finals 3-0 to Raiders (Chicago), but had an impressive tournament nonetheless.
