For Orlando City’s Pro Academy clubs, the 2015 regular season was one to remember. Here’s a look at how every Pro Academy team faired in one of the most successful years for the City Academy.
U-9 Pro Academy:
For the U-9s, both teams had an incredible season building upon the fundamentals of the game and performing well in the league standings. U-9 Team 1 finished in 1st place winning their league. U-9 Team 2 also had a terrific season finishing in 4th.
U-10 Pro Academy:
The U-10s had an impressive season with both Pro Academy Team 1 and Team 2 ending the season at the top of their respective leagues. Even more impressive, both clubs did it playing in the U-11 age group.
U-11 Pro Academy:
Following the U-10s lead, both U-11 Pro Academy clubs handily won their respective divisions in the 2015 regular season. Pro Academy Team 2 finished at the top of their U-11 division, while Pro Academy Team 1 went up an age group and won the U-12 age division.
U-12 Pro Academy:
The U-12s showcased excellent talent this year and finished with a strong year. While most kids would struggle playing up an age division and transitioning to the 11 v 11 field, the U-12s showed excellent maturity and growth in their game as both teams experienced a great year.
U-13 Pro Academy:
At the conclusion of the season the U-13 team found themselves ranked as the top team in the state. To top it off, they accomplished that feat playing up an age group.
Looking ahead, the U-11 through the U-14 teams will follow their regular season campaigns by playing in the Junior National Showcase at Disney on Thanksgiving weekend. Congratulations, to all the Pro Academy teams on a successful season growing as teams and individuals.
