Artist DIZEVEZ Designs Three Posters For August

For the sixth month of Orlando City Foundation’s Artists Series, artist DIZEVEZ will design three posters for the matches in August.

The first of three, “A New Dawn,” will be available at Sunday night’s match against the Seattle Sounders.

The poster features Kingston front and center, dressed as a knight and holding a shield bearing the Orlando City crest. Kaká and Cyle Larin stand on either side of him, and behind them are Brek Shea and Joe Bendik. They stand on a hill, with the Orlando City fans waving flags behind them.

“It seems like every event I attend in Orlando, the OCSC mascot, Kingston, is there!,” said DIZEVEZ. “Everyone, especially kids, are so excited to see him. I decided if I was presented with the opportunity to do another poster, he would be a big part of it. Recently I have really been inspired by comic book and fantasy art. I wanted to imagine Kingston as a superhero fantasy character leading the team and people into battle.”

The title might allude to the start of a new chapter in Orlando City’s history, under new coach Jason Kreis.

You can check out more of DIZEVEZ work here and possibly on some comics in the near future. “These are exciting times because I have just started working as a comic book cover artist,” said DIZEVEZ. Hopefully they will be carried in comic shops in Orlando when they are released.”

The poster will be available for purchase at Sunday night’s match or can be purchased online here
