Academy product Chase Vazquez nets hat trick as Orlando City rolls to preseason win over Stetson

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- When his No. 55 was called on Wednesday, Chase Vazquez played his ace.

Oh, did he ever.

Making his preseason debut with the First Team as a second-half substitute, the Academy product scored not once, not twice but three times -- netting the hat trick to lead Orlando City past Stetson University, 5-0, in the penultimate closed-door friendly match at Orlando Health Training Ground.

In addition to the striker's trio of tallies, the Lions also saw goals against the Hatters from Wilfredo Rivera in the first 45 minutes and Shak Mohammed in the opening minutes of the second half to stay unbeaten in exhibition play.

Orlando City wraps up the preseason on Saturday against the New England Revolution at Exploria Stadium where the club will unveil its new home kit before the match.

Activities and entertainment start at 5:30 p.m. The new jersey will be revealed at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Fans can reserve tickets for $10 with proceeds benefitting the Orlando City Foundation.
