Orlando City To Launch Third-Annual Kickoff Week Ahead of 2017 MLS Campaign

Kickoff Week 17

ORLANDO, Fla. (January 16, 2016) – Orlando City SC will launch its third Major League Soccer (MLS) campaign with its third-annual Kickoff Week events. The Lions begin the season by unveiling the Club’s new stadium on Sunday, March 5, at 5 p.m. ET against 2015 expansion rival New York City FC.

Orlando City’s Kickoff Week will provide fans with opportunities to visit the Club’s new stadium; witness a unique faceoff between Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride and Orlando City B players and 100 kids, the funds of which will benefit the Orlando City Foundation; and the Club’s annual Purple Pride 5K and Pub Crawl.

Fans are invited to tour their new home for the first time during our House Party – an open house, Orlando City style. Check out the pitch and views from various seating locations, visit the locker rooms and premium spaces and enjoy activities throughout the day, including player autographs, photo opportunities, music and more.

Registration for the Purple Pride 5K and Pub Crawl will include a ticket for a 2017 match, excluding the season opener against New York City FC. Unlike seasons past, the Club will provide those who register with a selection of games to choose from.

Orlando City Season Ticket Members will receive access to discounted tickets for the Purple Pride 5K and the Orlando City Pub Crawl, which will not include a match ticket. Season Ticket Members will be emailed registration details.

A Five-Game Flex Pack, which includes a ticket to the season opener and four other select games, is available here. LionNation members received priority access to the Five-Game Flex Pack after the schedule unveiling and will continue to receive priority access to all Orlando City tickets in 2017.

Single-game tickets will be available to LionNation members on Feb. 13 and to the general public on Feb. 21.

Presenting sponsors for the Purple Pride 5K include Orlando Health, SunPass, jetBlue, Environmental Painting Alternatives, and Floor & Décor. Additional Purple Pride 5K partners include Publix, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Grand Bohemian Hotel, and Advocare. The Orlando City Pub Crawl is cohosted by Orlando Pub Crawl and sponsored by Heineken, Finlandia, Jack Daniels, El Jimador, and Barefoot Wine.
