As the Pride host the LA side, here are five things to watch for:

Late Drama

The rivalry between the Orlando Pride and Angel City FC has been marked by dramatic late-game moments. Five of the eight all-time meetings have featured tying or go-ahead goals scored in the 85th minute or later, including both matchups last season. The two sides split the 2025 series, with each home team securing all three points. Orlando’s home victory came in a 3–2 thriller, sealed by a 90+3’ own goal from Angel City’s M.A. Vignola.

California Dreaming

Orlando enters the matchup with a 4-4-2 all-time record against Angel City and continued success against California-based opponents overall. The Pride hold a 12-5-5 cumulative record against clubs from the state, remaining unbeaten in four meetings with Bay FC and posting a 5-1-2 mark against the San Diego Wave. The last meeting with Angel City at Inter&Co Stadium marked the Pride’s first-ever home win over the LA side.

Getting It Done On The Road

The Pride return home following a productive two-match road stretch, earning four points through a win in Chicago and a scoreless draw against defending NWSL champions, Gotham FC. Since the start of the 2024 season, Orlando has collected 52 away points—second-most in the NWSL during that span—powered by 15 road victories and seven draws.

Chasing Down History

Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse continues her ascent among the league’s elite shot-stoppers, securing her 29th regular-season clean sheet in her 76th NWSL appearance last weekend. Only seven goalkeepers in league history have reached 30 clean sheets, and just two have done so before their 80th appearance. Moorhouse now stands on the verge of joining that distinguished group.

Pride’s First

Last week, the Orlando Pride announced the hiring of Mark Wilson as the club’s first-ever technical director, a role created to enhance the organization’s long-term sporting strategy, player development pathways, and global recruitment efforts. Wilson will collaborate closely with the Pride’s technical operations, including scouting, talent identification, and performance infrastructure, while working alongside Vice President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Caitlin Carducci. Wilson previously served as Angel City FC’s inaugural technical director, appointed in 2024.
