Notes: Injury Update; Looking For Result on the Road

Notes NYC

Key Players Remain Gametime Decisions

Orlando City may have some reinforcements coming this week as they head to New York. Kaka, Rivas, and Mateo all remain game time decisions. Kaka continues to train with team trainers. Rivas and Mateos both worked out on Wednesday, but a decision on whether or not they will play will likely be made on Thursday, seeing how they react to their workload.

“They’ve given us a little bit of optimism the way they’ve worked this week, noted Coach Adrian Heath. On Kaka, Coach Heath had the following to say, “He’ training in the gym. He’s working really, really hard and he will be another game time decision.”

Lions Return to NY for First Away Game

Friday, March 18th, will be the first away game for Orlando City, playing fellow second season club NYCFC. Last season Orlando City and NYCFC went head-to-head three times resulting in a 1-1-1 record. In their first of two games to be played in the Bronx, the Lions look to start this series with a win.

“Hopefully we can have a result like we had in our first away game last year away at Houston,” commented Coach Heath. Both teams entered the MLS last season and look to make a strong statement in their sophomore seasons.
