Individual Ticket Sales Take Off, Lions Over Halfway to #FillTheBowl

30K Tickets

ORLANDO – February 9, 2015 – Coming on the heels of a very successful Open Practice at the Citrus Bowl Saturday night to coincide with the launch of individual game ticket sales, Orlando City Soccer Club announced it already sold over 30,000 tickets, surpassing the halfway mark of its goal to #FillTheBowl. One month remains before the Club's inaugural 2015 Major League Soccer (MLS) home opener against New York City FC in March 8 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Interest for all 17 home games is high with brisk individual ticket sales across the schedule, but attention is certainly focused on the home opener. Individual seats are nearly sold out in the lower bowl of the stadium for March 8, with the exception of Season Tickets.

"Demand continues to rise for not only our season opener on March 8th, but for all our home games in the upcoming MLS season," said Orlando City President and Founder Phil Rawlins. "Our fans, partners and communities continue to demonstrate why this is the 'Soccer Capital of the South.' We are more than halfway to our goal of #FillTheBowl with a month to go before our first kick. Soccer fever has engulfed the region and it will erupt starting that first magical night and throughout this historic season. We hope everyone can be a part of it."
