Orlando City Finishes Road Trip at New England on Saturday

New England Revolution 2

ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 10, 2018) - Orlando City SC (7-19-4, 25 points) visits the New England Revolution (8-12-11, 35 points) on Saturday, Oct. 13. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium.

The match will be locally televised on WRDQ TV27 and YouTube TV. It will also be transmitted on Real Radio 104.1 FM in English and La Nueva 990 AM in Spanish.

“When you look at how [New England] plays, they’ve got a lot of pace on the team. They want to high-press,” Lions head coach James O’Connor said. “For us, we have an understanding of how they’ve played throughout the course of the season. Obviously we’ve played them not too long ago. I keep going back to it. Whatever New England are going to do, they’re going to do. It comes down to our personal pride and performance and how badly do we want to really go and get that level of performance for 90 minutes that we’re all craving.”

This is the second match of a two-game road trip that began with a 2-0 loss at FC Dallas last week. City was eliminated from playoff contention following Montreal’s win on Saturday.

The Lions will be without Dom Dwyer, who will serve a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation. City will also be without Yoshimar Yotún (Peru), Mohamed El-Munir (Libya) and Amro Tarek (Egypt), who were all called up to their respective national teams.

New England enters the match needing a win to stay in the playoff hunt. The Revs are winless in their last four and have lost two in a row, first to Toronto and then Atlanta.

Cristian Penilla and Teal Bunbury lead the team with 11 goals apiece. Diego Fagundez leads the team with nine assists.

This will be the second and final meeting of the season between these teams. On Aug. 4, Yotún picked up three assists to Dwyer, Tarek and Scott Sutter as the Lions erased a 2-0 first-half deficit to equalize in stoppage time.
