The Story:
- The Pride have won five of their last six meetings against the Houston Dash, including four victories at home. Orlando’s lone non-win during that stretch came in its most recent trip to Houston, a 1-1 draw in October 2025. Orlando returns to Houston looking for its second road win over the Dash since 2018, following a 1-0 victory in August 2024.
- Orlando enters its trip to Houston unbeaten in each of their last three matches away from home, earning two wins and a draw during that stretch. Orlando has also found its scoring touch on the road, totaling six goals during the unbeaten run to match its output from its previous eight away contests.
- In the sides’ most recent meeting, Orlando earned a 3-1 victory over the Houston Dash on Sept. 6 in the City Beautiful. The win marked Interim Head Coach Yolanda Thomas’ first at the helm, with Barbra Banda and Haley McCutcheon finding the back of the net, while Orlando also benefited from a Houston own goal. McCutcheon’s strike was her fourth of the 2026 campaign, setting a new single-season career high for the midfielder.
Quote of the Week:
“It’s been good to have a break. It’s been good to reset and reload a little bit. I think for the coaches, players and staff alike it’s always nice to get that extra time to prepare and to reset, so we’ve enjoyed spending some time together, and spending time apart as well. It is boring to train when you don't have a game, so we are very excited.”
- Interim head coach Yolanda Thomas
