ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 27, 2024) — With the start of the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League season on the horizon, the NWSL, Nike and Orlando Pride have unveiled two new kits for the Florida-based side as part of a historic league-wide kit reset. Today, the Pride introduce The Citrus Kit, a bold, new jersey which pays tribute to Florida’s acclaimed citrus industry, as well as The Phoenix Kit, which features the team’s recognizable purple and blue color scheme. Both kits are presented by Orlando Health, the Club’s jersey presenting partner and official medical team since the team’s inception in 2016.

Replicas of both kits are now available for purchase at ShopOrlandoPride.com, in The Den at INTER&Co Stadium or via NWSLshop.com. Replica goalkeeper jerseys will soon be available for purchase as part of a late spring release.

The Pride will formally unveil both kits on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at “The Kit Party presented by Orlando Health.” The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Orange County Regional History Center and will be held inside the venue’s citrus exhibit. Fans can RSVP to attend and meet the 2024 Orlando Pride roster here.

“We are proud to share two new, powerful kits with our fans and honored that we are again able to share the story of one of the pillars of our community and the state of Florida. Each year it is important for us to use our platform to celebrate those that laid the foundation for our city, and this year is no different. We hope our fans are as excited to wear The Citrus Kit and The Phoenix Kit as we are, and to proudly represent Orlando both at home and outside of Central Florida,” said Orlando Pride CMO Pedro Araujo. “This new partnership with Nike is a very exciting moment for the league. We’re grateful for their continued support of the Orlando Pride and the NWSL as a whole and are excited for the future opportunities this new, refreshed commitment will bring to our kits and team performance gear.”

This is the first time ever that a women’s professional soccer league has received a league-wide kit reset, as Nike hits refresh on the primary and secondary uniforms for every single team in the NWSL. The thoughtful designs reflect each club’s identity, provide a sense of joyful expression, and celebrate the energy created by sport for the teams and their communities.

The Citrus Kit introduces a bold, Florida orange to the Pride’s jersey rotation, taking a direct inspiration from Central Florida’s citrus industry and adding a new, audacious color palette that the team has never worn. From the groves surrounding The City Beautiful to classic, citrus crate packaging, the design connects directly with the history of the Club’s home community – a take on classic orange grove-inspired colorways featuring dreamy oranges and iced-out greens, the latter of which carries through for player names and numbers.

The custom embellishment on The Citrus Kit is directly inspired by the historic packaging found on citrus crates and labels unique to each grove. On the back of the socks, a hand drawn, scripted “Pride” takes its design cues from the hand painted lettering found on these labels. While the “Outer Pride”, found on the lower corner of the jersey, is a stylized “OP” featuring an orange cross-section and orange blossom leaves and flowers.

The Phoenix Kit remains true to the Pride’s primary color combination, with a two-toned purple gradient running diagonally from top to bottom on the jersey. The Nike logos, player name and number are also displayed in team’s iconic “Eola Blue.”

To celebrate the unveil, the Pride teamed up with Hollieanna Groves, a local, family-owned grower, harvester, packer and shipper of Florida Citrus based in Maitland, Florida. The historic, fourth-generation packing house and sales room served as the backdrop for the Club’s portrait photoshoot, featuring defender Emily Madril, midfielder Morgan Gautrat, forward Evelina Duljan and Central Florida native Carrie Lawrence.
