ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 23, 2024) — The Orlando Pride are set to begin their 2024 National Women’s Soccer League preseason training on Tuesday morning at the Orlando Health Training Ground at Sylvan Lake Park. Led by Head Coach Seb Hines, who is in his second full season at the helm, the Club enters training camp with 32 players on the preseason roster, 24 of which are under contract.
It was a busy offseason for the Pride as they acquired five new players in Brazilian internationals Luana and Angelina, former Juventus player Evelina Duljan, two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion, Morgan Gautrat and goalkeeper Sofia Manner. The Pride also brought back Kylie Strom who was a free agent in the offseason, while also signing Haley McCutcheon and Emily Madril to new contracts.
The Pride will be returning core players from the 2023 campaign, a team that finished the season with 10 wins, which is the most for the Club since 2017 and served as the second-highest win total across the entire NWSL. Last year’s squad also set a new single-season Club record for home wins with seven.
All four of the Pride’s 2024 NWSL Draft picks will join the Pride for the preseason, including No. 9 overall selection midfielder Ally Lemos, No. 22 overall Cori Dyke, No. 50 selection Alex Kerr and No. 56 pick, and UCF product, Talia Gabarra.
Additionally, four players have acquired Green Cards over the offseason in forwards Adriana and Mariana Larroquette, defender Rafaelle and goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse. With the Green Cards, the players will no longer occupy international roster spots.
Defender Tori Hansen and goalkeeper Kaylie Collins remain on loan in Australia’s A-League.
