3 ā€“ Debut Assists

Against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, Joao Moutinho became the third Orlando City player this season to assist a goal in his team debut, following Nani (March 2 vs. NYCFC) and Santiago Patino (March 16 vs. Montreal). Only four players had notched a debut assist in club history before this seasonā€”Hadji Barry (2016), Giles Barnes (2017), PC (2017), and Justin Meram (2018).

5 ā€“ Big Changes

James Oā€™Connor made a season-high five changes to his starting lineup on Saturday, bringing on Robin Jansson, Alex De John, Uri Rosell, Joao Moutinho, and Santiago Patino for Sebas Mendez, Will Johnson, Danilo Acosta, Chris Mueller, and Dom Dwyer. Jansson and Moutinho became the 11th and 12th players to make their Orlando City debuts in 2019.

1.71 ā€“ Dom-inant

Dom Dwyer continued his torrid start to 2019 with an assist off the bench on Saturday, giving him two goals and two assists in just 210 minutes played. Dwyerā€™s 1.71 goals and assists per 90 minutes leads MLS among players who have played at least two full games, just ahead of Minnesota Unitedā€™s Darwin Quintero (1.68) and this weekā€™s opponent, DC Unitedā€™s Wayne Rooney (1.67).

12 ā€“ Nani and Wazza

Nani and Rooney played seven seasons together at Manchester United from 2007-2014, bathing Old Trafford in gold throughout their tenure. Nani and Rooney helped bring home 12 trophies in their time together with the Red Devils, including four Premier League titles (2008, 2009, 2011, 2013), the 2008 UEFA Champions League, two League Cups (2009, 2010), the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup, and four FA Community Shields (2007, 2008, 2010, 2011).

4 ā€“ Home Cookinā€™

Orlando City are unbeaten in four against DC United at home, with their only Florida loss against the Black and Red coming in the clubsā€™ first-ever meeting in 2015. Orlando managed a 1-1 draw last season despite going down to 10 men in the first half. The Lions beat DC United at home every year from 2015-17.

0 ā€“ Goal Difference

Orlando and DC have defined ā€œevenly matchedā€ in their MLS series, with both sides scoring 14 goals apiece across their nine games. The two teams have four wins each with one draw against each other as well. Only three of the nine games have ended with a clean sheet, and five have seen the winner score multiple goals.
