On Wednesday night, 8 teams will square off in the U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals. Each team remaining is just three victories away from hoisting the trophy and clinching a spot in the CONCACAF Champions League.

East


Philadelphia Union vs. Orlando City, July 18 at 7PM ET | STREAM

When Orlando City travels to Philadelphia on Wednesday they will look to secure their first U.S. Open Cup Semifinal birth in club history. Orlando City was victorious in the only meeting this season between the two teams. Dom Dwyer and Chris Mueller both scored on the way to a 2-0 Victory.


Chicago Fire vs. Louisville City FC, July 18 at 8:30 ET | STREAM

The Chicago Fire, one of the more storied clubs in U.S. Open Cup history, take on the only remaining non-MLS team in the tournament, Louisville City FC of the USL. After Louisville’s former head coach James O’Connor departed to join Orlando City, the team has been coached by a collective of player coaches. Last year, FC Cincinnati of the USL reached the Semifinals before falling to the New York Red Bulls.


West


Houston Dynamo vs. Sporting Kansas City, July 18 at 8:30PM ET | STREAM

The defending U.S. Open Cup champion Kansas City will have to win on the road to keep their repeat hopes alive. Sporting defeated Houston 3-2 in their only matchup thus far this season.


Los Angeles FC vs. Portland Timbers, July 18 at 10:30PM ET | STREAM

Los Angles is on a quest to become just the third MLS team to win a U.S. Open Cup title in it’s expansion season. Both the Chicago Fire (1997) and the Seattle Sounders (2007) are the other teams to accomplish that feat. LA and Portland will play Wednesday for the second time in just just 4 days. The team’s played to a 0-0 draw on Sunday.
