Breaking Down the XI: Edwards Jr. Starts in Goal

Xiedwards

It’s the second match under Head Coach James O’Connor and things have officially been shaken up.

The most obvious change tonight is in goal. Earl Edwards Jr. will get his second career start tonight against Toronto FC. Edwards Jr. has had a strong showing in U.S. Open Cup play this season and will be looking to continue that form.

Amro Tarek and Chris Schuler is your center back pairing of necessity. New acquisition Shane O’Neill will be available off the bench.

Yotún and Johnson make up a midfield that should provide some solid defense while also serving as a foundation for Orlando City’s build-up from the back. Tony Rocha will also provide some defensive assistance on the left and may even interchange with El-Munir who likes to get up the pitch.

Up top and in the middle, Kljestan, Dwyer, and Mueller form a nice collection of speed, precision and power.

Starting XI presented by Orlando Health: Edwards Jr., El-Munir, Tarek, Schuler, Allen, Johnson, Yotún, Rocha, Kljestan, Dwyer, Mueller.

Bench: Bendik, Powers, Colmán, O’Neill, Lindley, Yoia, Pinho.
