kyo city v nj 2018 pt 1

Orlando City returns home for the fourth match of the season to face New York Red Bulls. The Lions are in search of their first win of the season with a confident Red Bulls visiting for the 1:00 p.m. meeting at Orlando City Stadium. Here is everything you need to know about New York Red Bulls:

Key Departures

City fans will surely know one key departure from the Red Bulls, and thatā€™s because heā€™s suiting up for us now. Sacha Kljestan. Another key departure was that of Felipe Martins in the midfield who was shipped off to Vancouver in a trade. Those two MLS vets were key pieces to their puzzle but with new acquisitions and Jesse Marsch at the helm, the Red Bulls havenā€™t slowed down since 2018 started.

New Faces to Watch

We know about Bradley Wright-Phillips and Luis Robles, but thereā€™s a fresh crop of new guys in Jersey to keep your eyes on. Red Bulls replaced Sacha with a new number ten from Argentina, Alejandro Gamarra, also known as Kaku. The Jersey side then added Tim Parker in the move for Felipe Martins to bring a key piece to their backline and brought in Marc Rzatkowski to add another attacking midfield piece to the machine.

Form

The Red Bulls areā€¦ red hot. The team is sitting third in the Eastern Conference, but their form can be considered ā€˜red hotā€™ due to their extended run in the CONCACAF Champions League where they dismantled Club Tijuana 2-0 in Mexico and 3-1 at home.

Head-to-Head

Last year City and Red Bulls met twice, once at Orlando City Stadium and once at Red Bull Arena. The two sides swapped home wins.
