OCSC Academy Player Selected For U-17 National Team

The U.S. Under-17 MNT has been finalized for the 2017 International Youth Tournament of Vaclav Jezek in Prague, Czech Republic. Head coach John Hackworth finalized his roster for the competition three days ago, and Orlando City’s Alejandro Pereira was selected as one of the 22 players the U.S. will bring to Prague.

Pereira, an Oviedo, FL native, has been a standout performer for Orlando City’s Developmental Academy for years. The forward recently led his squad to its most successful season in Orlando City DA history in 2017; entering the postseason as the No. 2 national seed and winning all three group stage matches before falling to Colorado in the knockout stages.
