Major League Soccer set a new record for All-Star Game television viewership as the best in MLS faced Spanish giants Real Madrid, the newly minted back-to-back reigning UEFA Champions League winners, on August 2 at Soldier Field in Chicago. The summer showcase aired on FS1, Univision/UDN, TSN and TVA Sports domestically as well as in more than 170 countries globally.

More than two million viewers in the United States and Canada combined watched the 2017 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, surpassing the 2011 MLS All-Star Game vs. Manchester United at Red Bull Arena, according to Nielsen and Numeris research. An audience of 1,484,000 watched the leagueā€™s 22nd All-Star Game in Spanish on Univision/UDN, while 420,000 viewed on FS1. In Canada, an audience of 97,000 watched on TSN, while 96,000 viewed in French on TVA Sports.
