Toronto FC and Montreal Impact Face Off In Canadian Championship Final

On Wednesday night, Toronto FC and Montreal Impact will face off in the first leg of the Canadian Championship Final in Stade Saputo in Montreal. Both teams are coming off weekend games in MLS-- Montreal travelled to Orlando to earn a 3-3 draw and Toronto earned a comfortable 2-0 victory at home against D.C United. Toronto FC are looking for back-to-back Canadian Championship titles. Montreal is looking to win the tournament for the first time since 2014. 

FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo Prepare For Texas Derby

FC Dallas and the Houston Dynamo will face off at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston for the second Texas Derby of the season. The first meeting between these two sides ended in a scoreless draw-- but both teams will be looking to be crowned the Kings of Texas in Friday’s matchup. This battle in Texas is sure to be a sizzling way to kick off the Heineken Rivalry Week.

San Diego Set SoccerCity Vote For 2018

San Diego has set the vote for SoccerCity, the plan to develop Qualcomm Stadium into a site with a soccer stadium in addition to housing and retail, for the November general election in 2018. This vote comes a year later than San Diego soccer fans were hoping for, but San Diego’s City Council believes the decision will draw a higher voter turnout than a special election. San Diego is one of the 12 cities vying for four MLS expansion spots.
