Orlando Pride Earn Draw In Team’s Home Opener 

The Orlando Pride took to the pitch on Saturday to face off against the Washington Spirit for their first match in Orlando City Stadium. The team kept a clean sheet through the first half, but allowed a goal by Sigvardsen-Jensen in the 60th minute. The Pride countered in the 86th minute with the first goal of the season, scored by Danica Evans in just her second NWSL appearance. While the Pride created many chances, the match ended as a 1-1 draw.

Orlando City Hits The Road To Face NYCFC


Orlando City hit the road this weekend to take on New York City FC at Yankee Stadium. The last time these two teams met, the Lions were victorious after a goal from Cyle Larin to snag the season opener. But both teams have improved over the last six weeks, and the battle on Sunday is likely to bring a whole new dynamic.

Marta Arrives In Orlando

After arriving in Orlando on Thursday night, and being greeted by Pride fans in the terminal, Marta trained with the Orlando Pride for the first time on Friday. She did not feature in the starting lineup on Saturday, but came in as a substitute in the 59th minute. She helped contribute to more than one goal-scoring opportunity, including a near miss in stoppage time that just went slightly wide.
