As Major League Soccer heads into round three of 2017, City, unlike all but one other club, has yet to play its second game of the young season. Take that into account and then look at the Audi Player Index after week two:

What stands out? City's Joe Bendik and Jonathan Spector remain in the top 5 for all players in the Index with just 90 (impressive) minutes of play under their belts from March 5th's showdown with NYCFC.

Bendik's seven-save performance earned him MLS Team of the Week honors in week one, but the performance apparently has been good enough to keep him at #2 (#1 on the team) even with playing 90 minutes less than the majority of the league.

Not to be outdone, Jonathan Spector is still holding strong at #5 (#2 on the team) on the Audi Player Index. The City debutant's week one Team of the Week performance was equally impressive with a whopping 14 clearances keeping the box clear of threats for the Lions.

The duo and the new look City backline will meet their second test of the season this Saturday at home versus Philadelphia. If their first performance is any indication, expect the backline to keep things tidy in front of goal.
